The book is on the shelf, just like always. "How to become a Warceror, or die trying". Someone must have thought it's funny. It's not. Dying is a part of being a Warceror. But you have to admit, this book makes the pain of death a lot less common experience. That's always something.

Fighting is the most important way of making progress in this game. With each won or drawn fight your spell proficiency increases, and you earn money. Be sure to understand the rules of fights.

Fights take place each day at midnight. Opponents are paired among those that wish to fight, according to their Lifeforce ranking. You can always see the next opponent that you will fight on your character details page. Each fight lasts a maximum of 1 minute, or until one of the combatants falls. During the fight combatants trade magical blows. There are 2 ways of killing your opponent: reducing the opponent's physical health to 0 or less, or by reducing the opponent's mental health to 0 or less. Killing your opponent wins you the fight. If both opponents survive the fight, or both opponents die at the same instant, the fight is declared a draw.

Winning or drawing a fight brings you rewards. In general, you get twice as much for winning a fight than for drawing. The rewards are gold and experience in the spell components you used. The experience gain is proportional to the number of uses of each component during the fight - the more times you use the given component, the greater the experience gained. Experience makes your spell components stronger, faster to invoke and easier to cast. There's one more effect of a fight - your Lifeforce changes. The winner absorbs within himself a part of the loser's Lifeforce. The higher the loser's Lifeforce in comparison to the winner's Lifeforce, then the greater the change. On a draw, the character with lower Lifeforce may still absorb a small part of his opponent's Lifeforce.
