The book is on the shelf, just like always. "How to become a Warceror, or die trying". Someone must have thought it's funny. It's not. Dying is a part of being a Warceror. But you have to admit, this book makes the pain of death a lot less common experience. That's always something.

Developing your character is the key to success in the game. Tactical skill alone won't win you fights, if your virtual avatar cannot cast the best spells, or can be wiped out with a single blast. Let's take a look at the parameters of your character.

The most important indicator of your progress is your Lifeforce. It goes up when you win, and drops when you lose. It can never go down below 1000. Lifeforce determines both physical and mental health. Your character starts with 50 physical and 50 mental health. You gain 1 additional point of physical health for each 10 Lifeforce points of yours beyond 1000 Lifeforce. Likewise, you obtain 1 extra mental health point for each 5 Lifeforce points over 1000 Lifeforce. The higher your physical and mental health, the harder you are to kill. Mental health is also important for casting spells.

The second indicator of progress is Gold. You need Gold to buy new spell components and items. Even though you start knowing some spell components, you will have to learn the more powerful ones. This will allow you to cast better spells. Items can affect multiple things - they can increase your physical and mental health, grant you resistance to damage, make your spells stronger and can even be enchanted to hold spells of their own. Remember - make money, and spend it wisely.
